¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Comedies for Celebration, Pt. 1

Woooooo it's 2009!!
Since both my reading & writing classes (on the 30th & 31st day of December, respectively) are suspended, I've got 5 1/2 days of New Year holiday, lot of gratitude to Diana and Ah-Jiang, xoxo!!
And I've made great use of the time to enjoy. . . no, to research into my blog project topic, films.
I've watched up to 5 films a day so far.
Now, what better way to celebrate the brand new start of a year with a few films that suit the merry atmosphere? Here are two recommendations of comedies from what I've watched these days:
For a lighter taste of laughter, take The House Bunny.
Starring Anna Faris from the Scary Movie series, the story is about a Playboy bunny being fired because of her age. By accident she takes the job to be a "housemother," supervising and guiding the members of a sorority in UCLA, which is full of socially awkward, nerdy girls initially.
To save the sorority from being taken over, she has to help the girls to transforms themselves into sexy and popular chicks in order to attract more members. On the other hand, she also discovers the side of her inner beauty, and. . . spoiler! Oh, why don't you just watch the film yourself, or read the plot on Wikipedia?
What I like: The makeover scene, far more stunning than Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and it's appropriately accompanied with Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne, as the background music!
From this:
To this:Anna Faris also shows the audience, both in and out of the story, that she's not a blonde airhead, as her performance being positively praised, breaking her stupid image in Scary Movie. The trailer may make you think it's another silly comedy making fun of the blonde, but it really is something meaningful and inspiring!

Yes, I owe many thanks to Diana and Ah-Jiang.However, in my five-day-holiday, I spent most of time sleeping!>"< Well, I feel regretful about myself. I should not waste my time that way. I like to see movie as well. But I don't know much information about the recent movies. Thanks for introducing such interesting and funny movie to us. If I have time in the winter vacation, I would like to discover the amazement of the movie.^^
Gina,
To tell the truth, all I did during that holiday at home is mostly sleeping too! And I know lots of people in our class do the same thing, so no worry, you're not alone! You can never blame yourself for it because your own bed is always soooooo cozy and you wanna do nothing but lying in it, plus there're other new gadgets just been added to my luxurious room, which I'll compose an article about it. Now it makes me wanna go back home to sleep just talking about it!!!
xoxo,
Keith
