And for a stronger flavour, try this:
This one wasn't shown at cinemas in Taiwan, but quite a hit in the US, and I'm definitely introducing it.

[Plot summary from Wikipedia - only the first part to avoid spoiler]
Composer Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has spent five years adoring his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), despite living completely in her shadow. He even works as the composer for Sarah's CSI-type crime drama, Crime Scene: Scene of the Crime, a job that dramatically underutilizes his talents. Devastated after Sarah unexpectedly breaks up with him, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Hawaii and is confronted by his worst nightmare: Sarah and her new boyfriend, articulate, narcissistic British-rocker, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand).

Although the names of the actors may not be familiar to you, they perform quite brilliant in the film actually.
The leading actor, Jason Segel, who also wrote the story, has several frontal naked scenes in the film and he acts very naturally and humorously. (FYI this film is R-rated.) I think it's a kinda reverse, instead of showing female nudity like many other adult comedies do, he does it the other way.

The supporting actor, Russell Brand is another highlight of the film. He plays Sarah Marshall's new boyfriend, who is an attractive, funny and promiscuous British singer, kinda like Brand himself in real life. Oh and he looks so hot in the film except that I hate his hair. The way he talks is sexy too, though his Cockney accent is constantly mocked and joked about in the story. He also stars in Adam Sandler's new film, Bedtime Story, which was released recently.

Behind the get-over-breaking-up theme and running gags, there is also constant sarcasm throughout the storyline. For example, the fictional TV prorgamme in the film is a parody of CSI which is presented in a comical way. Here are the quotes from IMDb:
[In the lab]
Sarah Marshall: Remember how we thought the killer masturbated before commiting his crimes?
Detective Hunter Rush: Yes?
Sarah Marshall: Take a look...
Detective Hunter Rush: ...Looks like where he's going he'll need to know how to masturbate.

I laughed out loud at this because I used to love CSI shows. They even created fictional websites for Crime Scene: Scene of the Crime, Sarah Marshall and I Hate Sarah Marshall.

Hey It's Shirley~

Ha! I really like your comment toward films! You got a very unique taste and I appreciate it! lol Especially the way you criticize the characters so honestly--like the bad hair style--that really makes me laugh!
Keep introducing films! We university students had gone far from the media world due to the absence of television and I need your blog post to keep me on the trend of the latest movies—it’s okay if it isn’t the latest, too, as long as it’s a delightful one it would be suitable for me!! Thanks, then!

Thanks Shirley,

I understand how hard it is to live without a TV, in spite of the fact that I go home every weekend, and the fact that I even barely watch TV! Just manage to deal with it for. . . oh, only two weeks, then it's HOLIDAY!! But before that, good luck for the final exams, ciao!

xoxo,
Keith
